I've just spent four fabulous days with my family. We ate too much, relaxed together, and reflected on the multitude of reasons to be thankful. I am certainly thankful for my wonderful class this year. They are so caring and considerate. They also apply themselves and impress me with their hard work.
In class we continue to focus on complex tasks. The students have finished typing their most recent narrative essays. They then recorded themselves reading their essays to present to the class. In math we are moving on to pictographs and bar graphs. Students should be able to interpret data from these graphs as well as create their own. In discovery the students are creating original art that will be displayed as part of a competition for The Rose City Classic Dog Show.
Along with all of our hard work, we've had time to celebrate and enjoy working together. We attended an exciting assembly where we watched a cup stacking competition and enjoyed a very silly chicken dance. The students also earned a tech party (their choice) by making responsible choices in the classroom. Fiona's birthday gave everyone a chance to belt out the GoNoodle birthday song and devour cookies. So much fun in so little time!
